dean my ass.
this is what we need.
in our fight against terrorism, we should take a lesson from yamamoto tsunemoto:
"According to what one of the elders said, taking an enemy on the battlefield is like a hawk taking a bird. Even though it enters into the midst of a thousand of them, it gives no attention to any other bird other than the one that it has first marked."
remember osama bin laden? looks like we didn't mark our bird.

A PARABLE inspired by the POTUS press conference this morning.
so you stop at the mechanic for new airbags to protect you in an accident and instead the mechanic insists on fixing that little annoying, but not mechanically obtrusive, noise in your car.
he fiddles, and then it won't even start. he blames the manufacturer.
so you sit around the shop for, oh, 2 months. the mechanic comes sauntering into the waiting room and tells you the car is fixed.
it still doesn't start. and now the wheels are missing.
you give him the benefit of the doubt, even though you discover his mechanic's license was awarded on appeal by a panel appointed by his father.
7 months later the mechanic calls from his car phone to let you know that the little noise is gone. he then tells you that even tho he isn't a shameless self-promoter, he's a great mechanic that has fixed lots of cars this year.
you notice your car still doens't have any wheels, is out of gas and has had the interior looted.
but the annoying noise is gone.
so, should you hire this guy again?
